23 July 2017: Today, I'm going to get started on "Starman" - part of the Cosmic Energy Art phase, as well as my tribute to David Bowie's Starman song, which is the first record I have ever owned. "There's a Starman waiting in the sky ..." :-)
Decided to post the ongoing development of this painting as sometimes people think the final product just materialises magically somehow, when in fact it's a few simple steps that are taken, one after the other, to arrive at the finished work of modern energy art.

* Note from 2021: I didn't appreciate it at the time, but it was actually my "Ar Solution" to my frozen sadness that David Bowie had died. Passing the mike back to the aspect from 2017:Â
Decided to post the ongoing thing as sometimes people think the final product just materialises magically somehow, when in fact it's a few simple steps that are taken, one after the other, to arrive at the finished thing.
So I got an A2 piece of paper and started singing the Starman song, and as you can see, there are many, many lines denoting energy movements, like edging in on where "the lines really are."
Not trying to be clever, not trying to be a great artist but simply paying attention to where what has to be on the page to make it start to gather energy and movement is the key. No distractions.
I wish I'd done that bit straight on the canvas right away, so now I've got to do it afresh. But I've got more idea of where the actual "power lines" are that form the grid of this symbol hybrid.
Right! Get the canvas ...

So now, the waiting game begins to make sure he's really dry before I add the stars ...

August 3rd 2017 ...
He's - IT! - has got its stars and is drying as we speak ...
Haven't decided yet if I'm going to put another layer on it. I'll talk to it in a little while when it can be put upright without dripping LOL!!!
Hehe looking at it from this perspective, this could be a landing strip in a space port. Like those lines in Peru.
Here's the completed Starman sparkling in the sunshine.
And here's the vector version.

Really enjoyed making the Starman, now looking forward to exhibiting him at Wyntercon 2017 and the GoE Conference. TBC!
