Energy art essay by Silvia Hartmann explains about: What is inspiration? | Inspiration EVENT | How do you get inspired? | Artist desperately seeking inspiration | Taking control of artistic inspiration | Find artistic inspiration plus a useful artistic inspiration exercise.
Knowing that the first generation of modern energists would be gathering at the View Hotel in Eastbourne, UK, on November 11th 2016 for the first ever official Guild of Energists conference, I decided to make a special mens as a gift for each delegate.
The mens were made with lots of sparkles and when they were all on the tray together, it occurred to me that they were "The Little Energists" :-)
Have you ever started a painting and then something happened, it didn't get finished, and ended up kicking around the studio for ages?
Well that's happened to me. I've been moving the damned thing hither and tither for at least three years until the moment came and I said, "F ... k it!" ... and went for it!
This could be my golden period or my golden age ... Nothing shines as bright as real 24k gold. No paint comes close. And I love the way it plays with the light.
One of my favourite "Bonus Paintings" was Story Island (B) and it is true, I could not wait to get the space to create a full size symbol hybrid painting - Story Island.
In 2014, I created an art solutions painting called "The End of The Starving Artist." Two years later, and having enjoyed the energy of that abstract energy art painting in my office every day, tremendously, it was time for an evolution. What next, we wondered? And a phrase from the freshly written artists resume became the answer for the new set up, the "title" - "For me, art was essential for survival, precious beyond price, deeply personal and more beloved than I have words to express."
How "finding your style" as an artist can lead to more freedom, rather than less - and some amazing experiences with the Bonus Paintings.
This symbol painting in gold and blue was done - wanted to be done! - at the same time I was working on the Big E and the Big Heart of Gold. It probably caused Story Island (B) quite directly, and therefoe Story Island as well. The case could be made that also "Breaking Through The Barrier Of Gold" is directly related to this symbol painting as well. Mysterious, magical - just what a good original energy art symbol painting should be! :-)
Modern Energy Art Solutions is when the modern energy artist takes charge of their processes of creativity, and uses them to deliberately create a work of art that is the SOLUTION to a problem.
This puts the artist in charge of what they want to experience in the process of creating a work of modern energy art.
When the Association For Meridian Therapies became The Guild of Energists, it needed a new logo.
This is the story of the Big E ...
The Heart of Gold Painting, balancing brother to The Big E, painted for the first Modern Energy Conference in 2016.
Sheena wrote: "Me and my school are doing this project called 'Passion Project' and we all have different topics and my topic is 'Art and Abuse' so i was wondering if you could give me more information?"
Being Too Literal?
"You are too literal!" is a favourite put you down among arty folk. It is a variant on the "Fear of the Obvious" which I have written about and ranted over for many years now.
Essentially, art students and literary students are entrained to become blind to the obvious, and the literal, by being punished for being obvious and literal.
This leads to a mental movement that becomes quite literally (!) the psycho-path.
On a cool October night, I was drinking red wine and there were some people about who were interested in energy art, but didn't know much or anything about it.
Here is a truly multi-dimensional project for modern energy artists - The Bowl of Blessings. Here, we bring together art and magic, energy and intention, creativity and craft to end up with a single "installation" which serves as a totem in its own right, but can be used for all manner of magical purposes just as perfectly as it can sit by itself on a plinth in an art exhibition. Oh, and of course, you can play with it. Age range - 3 to 300. Awesome. x
What is sacred photography? To answer that question we need to go back a little way, to what happens in a magical photography session between the photographer and their subject.
It's been said that abstract art "enables the exploration of yet undiscovered inner territories of the viewer’s brain."
Yes ... abstract art is good for your brain. And perhaps even for your mind ...
In 2009, I created The StressFish for a website which was to give people quick anti-stress tips and modern energy based stress information. As is so often the case, the StressFish was years ahead of its time. Things happened, until in 2015 the stress challenge was approached anew with the GoE's MODERN Stress Management programs. In 2016, The StressFish retired (as he was cured of stress and now swims in a life of success!) and the articles transferred to GoE.ac. Still, The StressFish was good fun and much loved, so here is ...
I've met some amazing artists in my time - but I've never met one yet who wouldn't have loved what we do at The Guild of Energists. Here are my top five reasons why I think artists (real artists!) should join the GoE.
7 important things you need to know about the care and feeding of the mens, if you have mens in your life.
I found this article in the archives which describes "The Artist's Prayer" - the artist's contribution to change. This is clearly Art Solutions, not "art therapy as you know it, Jim" where the experience of pain simply gets regurgitated, or the problem/s simply get re-stated, yet again and ad infinitum.
I could talk of this for hours; over to the aspect, 2003.
