One of my favourite "Bonus Paintings" was Story Island (B) and it is true, I could not wait to get the space to create a full size symbol hybrid painting - Story Island.
Symbol Hybrid Paintings
When the Association For Meridian Therapies became The Guild of Energists, it needed a new logo.
This is the story of the Big E ...
The Heart of Gold Painting, balancing brother to The Big E, painted for the first Modern Energy Conference in 2016.
On a cool October night, I was drinking red wine and there were some people about who were interested in energy art, but didn't know much or anything about it.
Three Energy Art Solutions images/paintings on the topic of New Beginnings, November 2015.
1 - Life Will Find Its Way; 2 - Weaving Your Destiny; 3 - New Beginnings.
One of the super metaphors, The Key turned up at a very auspicious time. The original design featured a Borromean Circle but I chose to do the real world circles in the end. Serious energy art/energy magic.
This "Dolphin" is an Art Solutions symbol hybrid for recovery. Definitely one for the "Healing Art" department.
Oceans of Energy is coming back - the next edition of the book on EMO Energy in Motion will return to the original title of the first edition.
And we needed a new Ocean Wave. Here it is!
Butterfly Woman - one of those things that looks ever so simple but actually isn't. A "visitor" or "visionary" design rather than an Art Solutions painting.
It all started with the book cover design for the 2015 Edition of "Love EFT" (an excellent book, btw, I highly recommend it!). Set for release on Valentine's Day 2015, this is what it turned out to be:
She turned up one night in a vision, unexpected and surprising, so here she is - The White Wolf by Silvia Hartmann, 2015.
"I come in love" - Rose Hand. This symbol hybrid is one of my favourites. It's a wonderful thing on so many levels.
Very romantic, too.
The Rainbow Song Bird - from the song that starts, "Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue ..." for granddaughter Amber Kent.
Handover to the young patron of the arts was on June 28th, 2014 :-)
At first glance, a jellyfish seems to be not the most impressive of animal totems. But jellyfish really go with the flow ... and there are times in life when there's nothing better than a spot of good old jellyfishing! Here's my jellyfish symbol hybrid on the topic of going with the flow.
A symbol hybrid painting that appeared around 4am without prior warning a couple of nights ago. There is still something going on with "messages in bottles" ... perhaps I will find out soon what it might be ...
Blue Trees is a very personal, very important piece for me. I had a major mystical experience when painting that and there's a reason it is in the background of many other images during a period between March and May 2014. For example, Cupcakes and the Magic Bottles.
I know what it is about but I'm not telling.
A special symbol hybrid painting 16"x20" for Alex Kent's 33rd birthday.
Rooster - 16"x20" Acrylics on Canvas - 4.5.2014 painting by Silvia Hartmann
Love Tree symbol hybrid, started in July 2013 and finished as a part of the "Love Storm" in January 2014.
Acrylics on canvas, 40" x 30" by Silvia Hartmann
Obsidian is a symbol hybrid painting to help with the complexities of the DragonLords project and was created during the writing of The DragonLords.
It has Rix's Obsidian Knife as the starting point so it's technically a hybrid but that's as close as you can get to a real symbol painting. Couldn't have done this project without it.
Some time ago, I sent someone a The Gift and it was a Seahorse. First time that I can recall I had any dealings with this particular creature or metaphor, as the case may be ...
Here is my seahorse drawing, the symbol hybrid, and a seahorse vector version, plus a couple of cute animated seahorses and a seahorse to print out for coloring in.
I gave a short 15 minute presentation on The Genius Symbols at the GoE conference last year. Normally I draw the symbols live to show how simple they are and ask the audience to guess what they might be to demonstrate they are easy to learn, so that's what I did. This caused a certain gentleman to give me a set of canvases for Christmas and the idea/task to make a symbol set for group demonstrations. I did and here they are.
