Energy Symbol Sets can be made for specific purposes, and I decided to make one for Art related topics - 23 little paintings as the templates.
Artefacts & Energy Objects - Energy magic art that has function, not just form.
As I was creating the paintings, I was also creating magic objects - magical tools for magical purposes. It was the exact same process which created both the paintings and the artefacts, and I made the comment on the energy art group that if I was exhibiting, I would exhibit both the paintings and the artefacts as they belong together.
I am just loving making Magic Mirrors! They are all lovely but this one is a whole new level of putting magic into an object.
You can hang a picture on the wall and that's wonderful - but nothing is quite as fascinating or as magical as a Magic Mirror. Mirror Mirror on the wall ...
The Oceans of Energy Bowl of Blessings, energy sculpture, energy artefact by Silvia Hartmann. An example of Modern Energy Art that dares to have a very practical use ...
Andy Warhol used to own a golden telephone which was said to be able to contact God. I made a God Phone of my very own by accident ... or was it ..?
Having a really good relationship with your own energy mind is truly the foundation to having fun as a modern energy artist! There I was, feeling all flat and uninspired, looking at some pretty sparkling bits left over from another project on the work table, sighing and saying, "I don't know what to do with those ..." and my marp (hand with self awareness <g>) arranged the pieces for me to form The Crazy Creative Creature as I sat and watched this happening ...
* You can download your own CCC to colour in!
A 9cm x 15.5 cm hand layered resin bowl featuring 24k gold leaf, many colours and sprinkles of fairy dust, containing 44 blessings and much love. Made over three days end of December 2017 for a collector in Scotland.
Knowing that the first generation of modern energists would be gathering at the View Hotel in Eastbourne, UK, on November 11th 2016 for the first ever official Guild of Energists conference, I decided to make a special mens as a gift for each delegate.
The mens were made with lots of sparkles and when they were all on the tray together, it occurred to me that they were "The Little Energists" :-)
Ein Objekt aus der Zauberwelt - an object from the magical worlds of energy. Based on the Daily Diamonds, this is an object designed to remind us of energy.
Creating magical object which have the power to change the world is the purpose of art.
Here are the latest Art Spells, codenamed "The Cupcakes" for November 2014.
An energy magic machine by Silvia Hartmann that is also a beautiful sculpture, and a powerful tool for real energy magicians, but it is also a work of art.
Many hands and minds were at work to create this; it's absolutely unique in all times spent, there will never be another even remotely like it, but most of all, it is very beautiful
Here's the story of The City of Gold.
Amongst my people, it is the custom to give a symbolic snail when people move into a new home. It is a sign of good luck and a happy home, being safe and secure in your home. Traditionally, a hand made house warming snail is preferred; there are many ways to do this, including something as simple as painting a spiral (the symbol of the snail and vice versa) on a flower pot.
Here is my housewarming snail, hand shaped from aluminium and mounted on Baltic amber, given to Stephen Kent for his first home on October 4th, 2014.
Casting The Bones or CTB is a primal magic device to navigate reality. But how do you evolve that?
That was a challenge which caused me to cast many, many bones ...
Of all the various things I do casting objects in various types of polymer resin is probably what I enjoy the most. One day, I'll get a 3D printer - Father Christmas, are you listening?
Meantime, here are some Time Diamonds and a playful chandelier.
Art is a very personal journey. And every so often, there are these priceless experiences that one really can't put into words. I guess that's the difference between painting and sculpting and writing about after the fact ...
At any rate, whilst working on the "Damien Hirst" symbol painting, I had a moment of revelation ...
I love The Genius Symbols. They have brought immeasurable joy into my life, I have just had such a good time making different symbol sets, and eventually, I made a symbol game board, an acrylic painting on canvas.
I use it for special purposes and always regretted I couldn't take it with me when I went away to a conference or such; and when I came across a company who prints custom art scarves the other day, the The Genius Symbol Mandala literally jumped into my mind. But before we got started on that, there was the vector version to be done ...
It is really difficult when you do energy magic by any other name to make a distinction between a magical object and an art object, because they are one and the same.
So I've made three magic wands. Should I post this to the magic site and call it "a tool for magic"? Should I post it here and call these magic wands "energy art objects" or "sculpture"? I think that without magic, art is pointless and without art, magic sucks; so I tossed a coin and here we are - see my three new magic wands on https://1-art.eu instead of https://magic-spells-and-potions.com .
Whilst making 23 porcelain clay pyramids by hand the other day and as usual, failing to make them all look exactly the same, and indeed, succeeding in making 23 pyramids in the end that were completely individual and unique each, it occurred to me that in this day and age, perhaps a part of being an artist is just that - to make original pieces that don't look and feel as though a computer and a clever CAD program made them.
I'm not a machine ...
I really have to ask - is there anything as incredibly satisfying and wonderful as casting metal? Making an object that has never existed before, starting with the original sculpture, making a mould, then melting the cold hard metal so it becomes liquid and pouring it into the mould, then that final amazing moment when you free the metal object from the mould and you hold it in your hand for the first time?
A cover design for a real magic book is a challenge. Because a magic book is not just about the words inside, but a magic book is a magical *object* in its own right - a tool for magic, an energy generater, an imprinter and also an MEMEM, to be used in actual magic.
So apart from the challenge of, "Does it look right?" this kind of structural design also needs to feel right, and "magic right" for the want of a better word.
